European Villa Holidays Note Increasing Demand
Villa Holidays in Europe on the Increase
Those looking to travel to Europe are increasingly looking for villa holiday hotspots to enjoy throughout 2011. With rising demand for flights to countries such as Turkey, Portugal, Spain and Cyprus, Monarch has revealed that an increased summer schedule of services will be available from Luton airport.
With British travellers keeping holidaying at the top of their priority list there has been little dent in the numbers of individuals looking to travel abroad this summer. Whilst the recession may have caused many to question some of their holiday choices due to smaller budgets, making use of the large range of holiday villas in Europe to spend warm days languishing in the sun remains popular. A recent study revealed that over 50 per cent of women spend more time sunbathing than doing anything else whilst on holiday. Therefore with an incredible seven hour average for sunbathing, up to 49 hours of a week's villa stay could be spent soaking up the sun.
With the high demand for travel, Monarch revealed that they have increased the number of flights to many European hotspots. Flying from London Luton, there will be an additional 108,500 seats available over the peak summer season. Speaking of the new flights London Luton's business development manager, Simon Harley, said "We are delighted that Monarch has added this extra capacity in response to the demand from passengers in London, the Midlands and the South East." Providing access to cities such as Paphos, Faro and Alicante, the services will be ideal for British sunseekers wanting to top up their tan.
