Latin America to Enjoy New Hotels from Starwood
Starwood Open new Hotels Across Latin America
With British holidaymakers increasingly looking to travel to even more remote destinations, Starwood Hotels & Resorts have revealed that by the end of 2011 they will have opened six new hotels across Latin America. Increasing the quantity of hotel accommodation in South America ahead of Brazil's FIFA World Cup in 2014, and the Summer Olympics in 2016, six new hotels will open in South American nations including Peru, Panama, and Chile.
Starwood's Latin America division President, Osvaldo Librizzi, explained "Starwood is ramping up across Latin America in response to the increased demand for high-calibre global brands in a region that is poised to grow more than four percent in 2011." Visitors to Peru will be able to enjoy the new Westin Lima Hotel, which opens in May and offers spa facilities in addition to being a great location for Lima's business district and the city's galleries, restaurants, and boutiques. Costa Rica's new Westin Playa Conchal Resort Spa will also open in May, easily accessible from San Jose and offering a fantastic location for travellers.
In Mexico, Starwood are to open the Westin Guadalajara which is close to the airport and will answer the rising demand for top end accommodation. Meanwhile, the Westin Playa Bonita Panama will be an ideal location for visitors wanting to explore Panama City's historic sights, whilst a new hotel will also be opened at Bogota Airport offering travellers the perfect place to rest before and after a journey.
The news will be greatly welcomed by visitors planning trips to South America and wanting to stay in high quality new hotels throughout their stay. And with South America tipped to be a 2011 hotspot, the new hotels could not be opening at a better time.
