New Flights to Pyrenees with Air France Subsidiary
London City Airport Offering New Routes to France
It has been revealed that people based in London will have new opportunities to explore France this summer, with Air France subsidiary airline CityJet putting on flights to Pau. Offering residents a quick way to escape the city for beautiful French landscapes, the routes will operate from London City from the 2nd April.
With the brightening evenings leading many individuals to think ahead to their holidays, the news comes just in time for those wanting to get away even as early as this Easter. Making use of a 95-seat Avro RJ85 jet, CityJet will fly from London City to Pau on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Targeted at those who want to enjoy ski resorts, the flights will also be welcomed by individuals wanting to travel on to French destinations such as Biarritz and Lourdes.
Speaking about the new services to begin next month, the general manager of UK and Ireland's Air France operations, Henri Hourcade, said "I am delighted that CityJet, together with Air France, have launched these new routes to meet the growing demands of city to city travel in the business, as well as leisure communities of London and the South East. Our group is strengthening its presence at London City Airport and its commitment to its passengers."
The news comes after the airline previously revealed new summer routes to both Toulon and Avignon. So now for those Londoners wanting a quick and easy break, Pau's addition to the network will be greatly welcomed.
