Top Short Breaks for Easter
Madrid is an Ideal Location for a Short Easter Break
With the Easter holidays only just around the corner many individuals may be looking to take a spring holiday. For those who cannot take long trips away due to work or other commitments short breaks could be the answer and there are a number of European destinations which could offer the perfect getaway.
With the weather starting to warm up it is the perfect time of year to head overseas on short European breaks. Whilst Spain is an iconic summer destination, the nation really comes alive at Easter with parades throughout major cities. Madrid offers a great atmosphere and lots of attractions to see whilst nearby Toledo is a great choice as individuals can enjoy the festival season without having to travel too far.
For lovers of chocolate, possibly the best European destination is Belgium. Famous for its confectionary, holidaymakers can also enjoy the canals of Bruges, or explore the museums of Brussels. Meanwhile, with Paris so close to Britain, popping to the city of love is very easy. Whilst not as known for chocolate as Belgium, it still has a great confectionary reputation. And with spring erupting in this beautiful city, simply wandering through the Parisian streets is likely to wash away stress and tension.
With so many cheap and short flights to Europe, taking Easter breaks on the continent is perfect. Those who have never enjoyed an Easter getaway will wonder why they've never taken advantage of this fantastic opportunity before.
