bmibaby Launch New Flights Between Stansted and Belfast

Low cost British airline bmibaby has revealed that their new service between London Stansted and Belfast has recently started. With the inaugural flight taking place on Monday 28th March, bmibaby said that their first service route to London would offer travellers more choice than ever.

Having announced the route after Ryanair pulled out of the service last year, bmibaby will now run a maximum of 16 flights per week between the two airports. With up to three flights a day providing quick travel between Stansted and George Best Belfast City Airport, the services are expected to be used predominately by those accessing London business districts such as Canary Wharf. Meanwhile the flights will also offer convenient travel for individuals wanting to get to Cambridge, a region very prominent in the high-tech industry.

Speaking of the new service bmibaby's managing director, Julian Carr, said "We are the only low-cost carrier to operate this route and provide convenient flight times and a high-frequency service to Stansted Airport. This is our first route to London from Belfast City Airport and we look forward to offering the people of the region this new route that will complement our services to the UK regions."

The new flights will add to bmibaby's already extensive network of flights from Belfast to airports including Cardiff, Manchester, East Midlands and Birmingham. And with the new service now fully operational, the company are expecting strong demand for the London route.
