Iberia Adds Flights to South Africa and Middle East
Cape Town is one of the new Destinations Offered by Iberia
Following their codeshare agreement with British Airways (BA), Iberia has revealed that they will be offering a host of new flights to South Africa and the Middle East. Enabling travellers to stay aboard flights with their preferred airline, BA will also benefit with a new range of branded routes.
Following the January 29th completion of a merger between the two prominent airlines, Iberia is now to offer a hugely expanded portfolio of routes to customers. Those wishing to stay aboard flights with the Spanish based operator will be able to fly to Middle Eastern destinations such as Doha, Muscat, Bahrain, Abu Dhabi and Kuwait. They will also have access to flights to South Africa's Cape Town, meaning that there will be easy access to travel for those flying for both business and leisure.
Commercial and clients director for Iberia, Manual Lopez Aguilar, explained "Our merger means more travel choices for our customers, as Iberia opens its extensive Latin America network to BA passengers and BA offers Iberia customers its significant number of destinations in Asia and the Middle East. We are now offering eight new destinations and we will be offering many more in the coming months." The airline added that over the coming months travellers would notice more and more options for travel with either firm on each other's websites, in addition to the ability of combining seat options to find the most suitable travel times.
