easyJet Announce Business Travellers are to Receive Incentives

It has been revealed that, in a bid to increase business activity in Scotland, low cost airline easyJet are to introduce a number of incentives on Scottish bound flights.  Offering the incentives at Aberdeen, Glasgow, and Edinburgh, the new trial incentives follow a successful pilot scheme of fast track security at a number of airports.

A pilot scheme was first started at Aberdeen and Edinburgh, offering business passengers fast track security services with an easyJet plus card or speedy boarding pass.  Talking of the scheme to reward business commuters, easyJet's commercial manager, Hugh Aitken, said, "Our flights between Scotland and London boast some of the highest percentages of business travellers across our entire network, so we wanted to thank customers for their loyalty".

In addition to swifter security and boarding measures, the low cost airline also revealed that they would be improving flight schedules, allowing more people to find convenient services.  From June 6th, Glasgow will benefit from new early morning London bound service in addition to a 4th daily flight to Gatwick starting in the winter, 2011.

The move concretes views revealed by chief executive officer Carolyn McCall that the airline wanted to attract more business custom over the coming months and years.  Flexible fares have already been introduced to help business travellers avoid cancellation fees due to unforeseen problems, and with the new incentives, travelling with easyJet for business is likely to become increasingly popular.
