bmibaby Announce New Exciting Routes from Belfast City Airport

Low cost BMI subsidiary bmibaby has revealed a network of new routes starting from Belfast City Airport. Revealing seven new flights to be introduced next year, bmibaby said that the flights to Ibiza, Faro, Alicante, Palma and Malaga are now on sale and would operate from March 2012.

Whilst the five routes to make their maiden flights in 2012 will offer the perfect travel for those wanting summer holiday services, bmibaby will also be starting flights to Geneva and Amsterdam. Starting in October, the Amsterdam flight will operate throughout the year offering a continuous service to one of Europe's most popular cities. Meanwhile, flights to Geneva will begin in time for the winter season, offering residents in and around Belfast the perfect services to access winter sports.

Talking of the new flights managing director of bmibaby, Julian Carr, said "bmibaby will be the only low-cost airline to operate the new routes directly from Belfast City Airport, and this will make getting away for a sunshine, ski or city break more accessible from Northern Ireland. The new routes build on our recent launch of the Belfast city to Stansted service, and the relocation from Belfast International Airport to Belfast City Airport."

To cope with the additional service the airline revealed that two extra aircraft were to be based at Belfast to help with the new network. So for those wishing to head abroad next year, destination hotspots are now only a cheap flight away.
