New Details Revealed for African Flights with Air France

Air France Announce Exciting new African Flights

Further to announcements by Air France that they are to start direct flights to Cape Town, the airline has revealed new details on additional African services.  Having previously stated that new flights to Monrovia and Freetown were to be added to their portfolio, Air France have confirmed flight details and said that current services to Conakry would be increased.

With Air France making a visible commitment in offering services to popular African destinations, the new flights will offer more possibilities for travellers to make use of.  Sierra Leone's Freetown now benefits from two weekly flights which will fly via Conakry on Sundays and Tuesdays.  Elsewhere, Liberia's Monrovia also has a new two weekly route via Conakry, leaving Paris on Fridays and Wednesdays.  And whilst Conakry offers an important mid-way stop for the new routes, the capital of Guinea will also benefit from a new daily service of which four of the services are direct and three fly via Nouakchott.

Talking of the additional services senior vice president of Africa & Middle East for Air France, Pierre Descazeaux, explained "After the launch of flights to Kigali by KLM in October 2010, these two new Air France routes and the daily service to Guinea illustrate the confidence Air France KLM has in the development of the West African region."  He added that the increased services showed ongoing commitment to the region and would allow more customer choice than ever before.  And with Africa's economic ties to the rest of the world continuing to expand, both business and tourist demand is likely to be high for Air France's latest portfolio additions.
