Floridian Beaches Remain Popular
St Petersburg Boasts a Thirty Five Mile Coastline
Holidays to Florida have always been well sought after as the America state enjoys lots of sunny weather and has some of the top attractions in the world. However, in addition to the top cities of Orlando and Miami the state also has a wonderful and magnificent coastline. And if travellers are looking for a sandy retreat this year, Florida has more than enough beaches for sun worshippers to enjoy.
One top beach location to enjoy is St Petersburg. This beautiful city holds the Guinness World Record for most consecutive days of sun and is home to a 35 mile coastline of perfect white sand. It boasts some of the United States' best beaches and there are also a wide range of water sports including canoeing and kayaking for those who don't want to spend the long sunny days just lying on the shore. Meanwhile, Tampa is not far away and offers a great break for holidaymakers wanting something different for a day. Busch Gardens, a wildlife park packed with animals, roller coasters and beautiful scenery, is a fantastic attraction. For even more adventure tourists should head to Crystal River for the once in a lifetime experience of swimming alongside wild manatees.
Sarasota is also a fantastic location for those who want to enjoy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico. White sands and beautifully clear waters make this a top beach spot whilst the John and Mable Ringling Museum of Art is great for a brief break from the sun. Here an eclectic mix of art has been arranged, with 21 galleries filled with art from across the world.
With a great range of flights to Florida travel to this US state is easy and whatever travellers choose, they can guarantee an exciting holiday.
