Plane Manufacturer Reveals Aircraft Future
Airbus predicts an exciting future for flying.
Airbus, one of the world's leading aircraft manufacturers, has revealed some future concepts for their planes. Unveiling the new cabin developments in London, the company explained how a possible 'intelligent' wall material would allow cabins to become transparent, offering stunning views.
Airbus supplies airlines all over the world, with Singapore Airlines, British Airways and KLM just a few of the firms who use Airbus aircraft. With such eminent customers, Airbus are doing their utmost to stay ahead of the pack in terms of design and engineering concepts in order to maintain such custom.
Talking of their 'intelligent' membrane, the company said that there could be the ability for cabin walls to become see-through, allowing passengers unparalleled views of starry nights and sunny horizons. With the technology not forecast until 2050, the development is a way off, but an interesting look into the future. As well as transparent walls, traditional cabin classes would be abolished, with passengers enjoying personalised zones and seats that adjusted to their individual shape and size. Meanwhile, interactive and revitalising zones would likely be available, allowing travellers to enjoy virtual games and conferences, or indulge in spa treatments.
Whilst these developments are still a long way off, Airbus is already making steps to improve technologies. Newer aircraft are becoming more economical and greener year on year and the future looks exciting for Airbus.
