South America is definitely a rising star on the tourism scene and with iconic attractions such as Machu Picchu it is not surprising that Peru has seen booming trade. Many of those travelling to the one of the world's seven wonders often pass through Cuzco. And it has been revealed that Hilton is to build a new hotel there, offering tourist's luxury accommodation during their travels.
The beautiful city of Cuzco is a tourist attraction in its own right, with the metropolis offering the quintessential Peruvian feel that visitors to the country are often looking for. Meanwhile, the city is often used as a stop off for visitors travelling to Machu Picchu, allowing individuals to slowly acclimatise to the increasing altitude.
Hilton has now revealed that they are to develop a Doubletree Hotel in the city, four blocks from Cuzco's Plaza de Armas, on the Santa Ana slope. Ricardo Bracale, president of Hilton's Peruvian operator Inversiones Brade, said that the hotel would have 120 five star rooms for guests to enjoy. Meanwhile, Mr Bracale also revealed that a new hotel in Miraflores is also to be developed, offering particular services for corporate groups coming to Peru for up to a month. And with increasing tourism in the area, guests will be able to find great new accommodation for the perfect getaway.
