Flights to Baghdad Revealed by Emirates

Emirates, the Dubai based airline, has revealed that from 13th November they are to start flights to Baghdad. Adding to their Iraqi portfolio which currently only offers services to Basra, the airline will provide First, Business and Economy classes, giving passengers a choice of travel arrangements.
Iraq has previously been listed as a possible future holiday hotspot, with the country trying to turn around their politically troubled and war torn image. Meanwhile, with increasing business interest, there are also increasing numbers of people wanting to travel into the nation.
From November, Emirates will be offering four weekly flights between Baghdad International Airport and Dubai on board an Airbus A330. Flights will operate on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and Wednesdays, providing ideal travel for those going to Iraq whether for business or leisure. Chairman and chief executive of Emirates, His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, said "Baghdad is a strategically important destination for Emirates. Its geographical location, coupled with the fact that few international carriers operate there, makes it the perfect destination for us to tap into and drive revenue from."
For British individuals needing to travel for business, or take the opportunity of exploring a possible new tourist hotspot, the service will give ideal access. And with Dubai acting as the perfect connection hub, the service could prove popular.
