New Look for Nairobi Hotel
New look for Nairobi
Over the past few years Nairobi has seen increasing importance as an African business destination and with eight new hotels set to be built over the next three years, looks set to see growth in tourism as well. For those visiting the area in the near future, this is likely to be aided by the city's Mayfair Hotel having undergone a $1m facelift.
The hotel, which was formerly a Holiday Inn, has had almost $1m spent on it in an effort to make it the top spot for those visiting Nairobi whether for business or leisure. With all the public areas, including the lounge, business centre and restaurants, having been completely made over, the owners of the hotel are now moving onto the bedrooms to ensure that they offer guests a very high standard of accomodation. A bar is being built next to the hotel's two swimming pools, whilst the arrangement of the lobby and conference facilities has been adjusted to create more space to develop a luxury restaurant.
The makeover will certainly suit those travelling to Nairobi for business and who need a well serviced conference centre to make use of. Meanwhile, with Africa becoming increasingly popular as a holiday destination for British travellers, the hotel will offer the perfect stay for those wanting to get away.
