Amsterdam is not only one of Europe's largest international travel hubs, but a great centre for tourism and business itself. And it has now been revealed that Sofitel, the hotel chain from France, has launched their latest luxury Legend brand in the city famous for its canals, cycling and its risqué red light district.

Sofitel's first Legend was opening in 2009, offering those travelling to Vietnam a very high class and luxurious place to stay. Now, in a bid to roll the out brand internationally, the Sofitel Legend Grand Amsterdam has been launched, allowing those travelling to or just passing through, to enjoy the best in chic style. Sofitel's area manager for the Netherlands and UK, Denis Dupart, said "We launched the Sofitel 'Legend' label for our top historical properties with exceptional services - hotels which allow guests to follow in the footsteps of historical legends from Kings and Queens, to presidents and authors."

Meanwhile, Sofitel are also to open several Sofitel So hotels, an equally luxurious brand but with hotels being located within more contemporary buildings that those utilised by the Sofitel Legend brand. And with Sofitel looking to become synonymous with luxury and style, those looking for the best hotel quality would do well to look at the French brand's remarkable new offerings.
