New Flights from Scotland

In a move to offer a larger range of destinations for the winter season airline, Jet2 have revealed new routes from both Edinburgh and Glasgow. Operating between December 2011 and April 2012, Jet2 will offer flights to Salzburg, Chambery and Geneva.

Whilst it may currently be summer, winter sports enthusiasts will already be thinking of their getaways to mountainous and snowy destinations. Starting at the end of this year Jet2 will provide new flights from Glasgow to Geneva, offering locals the ideal opportunity to visit this beautiful city and possibly even visit neighbouring ski resorts. Meanwhile, Edinburgh will gain services to Salzburg and Chambery, adding to Jet2's winter portfolio which already offers flights to these destinations from other UK cities.

Speaking about the new services, Jet2's managing director, Ian Doubtfire, said "Friendly flight times are all carefully scheduled to get passengers to the resorts and out on the snow the day they arrive. Customers don't need to rush for a seat as they are pre-allocated - we want to make sure any racing is done on the piste and not to get on the aircraft!"

With the winter holiday season only months away, many British travellers will already be looking towards making bookings. And with Jet2's latest Scottish portfolio additions, winter sports enthusiasts will be able to enjoy even greater access to these ski destinations.
