Tel Aviv Highlighted As Top Holiday Spot
Tel Aviv ranked as a top holiday destination.
It has been revealed that Tel Aviv has been ranked as one of the top holiday destinations to travel to in the Middle East and Africa. Finding a place in the Travel & Leisure Magazine's World's Best Awards Tel Aviv, alongside Jerusalem, was mentioned in the top five cities for 2011's Middle East and African region.
Each year the renowned magazine makes important rankings over some of the best cities, hotels, and cruises in the world. For Africa and the Middle East the top cities were shown to be Cape Town, Jerusalem, Tel Aviv, Cairo and Dubai. In a slight change to 2010's rankings Jerusalem fell a place, to second, whilst Tel Aviv remained in third place.
Tel Aviv is a fantastic place to travel to, especially because it is one of the most liberal cities in the entire Middle East. It champions gay rights, making the pink pound strong here, and having been labelled a World Heritage Site the city is ideal for those wanting a historical retreat. Meanwhile, Jerusalem is the world's most holy city for millions of Christian and Jews who flock to this destination. And with huge amounts of money pumped into the tourist sector, holidaymakers will welcome the city's modern services and unique atmosphere.
