American Airlines Expands Codeshare Agreement
American Airlines and Air Berlin Extended partnership to expand.
It has been revealed that American Airlines have extended their codeshare agreement with airberlin, allowing travellers to catch US domestic connections after their international flights. The news will mean that passengers travelling with either airline will be able to use an expanded network covering Europe and America, simplifying their travel and offering a smooth and uniform service throughout.
With airberlin operating flights to Miami, Los Angeles and New York, passengers from Europe will be able to catch connections with little hassle. The extended service will allow New York bound visitors to get connections to St. Louis, Key West and Jacksonville. Meanwhile, new Los Angeles connections include San Jose and Sacramento.
The relationship between the two airlines started in November 2010 and now offers travellers the option of easy connection to 33 locations in Puerto Rico, the Bahamas and the U.S. This allows passengers to make and catch connections simply and easily, without having to worry about using a different airline with different operating procedures on various parts of their journey. With airberlin being so centrally located in Europe, the news will be welcomed by British individuals travelling for both business and leisure. And for those needing connections, the extended codeshare will offer great time and financial savings.
