Morocco Bounces Back as a Holiday Hotspot
Holiday numbers to Morocco have bounced back to former levels after the bombing earlier this year
After a bomb went off earlier this year in Marrakech, the popular tourist destination of Morocco certainly saw a significant fall in tourism. However, with the summer holidays here and many people looking for top getaways, it has been revealed that the nation is once again popular for travellers.
In April of this year, an explosion at the popular Café Argana hit tourism hard, with many people avoiding the country over concerns of further attacks. However, the Foreign & Commonwealth Office has now revealed that there are currently no restrictions for British travellers wanting to explore Morocco, simply giving the advice to visit the FCO website ahead of travel to check on latest updates.
The latest figures have shown that holiday interest in the country has returned to its level of previous years, showing that tourism in Morocco has bounced back. It will be good news for travellers wanting to explore this interesting country, with the short trip across the Mediterranean providing a vastly different culture to that of Europe. Here, visitors will find the excitement of Africa complete with beautiful mountains, a stunning coastline, and thriving markets perfect for bartering in. And with Morocco back on the map, flights and holidays are set to be in high demand.
