Qatar Airways has revealed that they are to add a new service between Doha and Calcutta, offering British travellers new connection options for routes to India. The East Indian city is popular for both tourists and business travellers and with Qatar's latest flight customers flying from the UK will have more travel choice than before.
Having begun on 28th July, the route connecting Doha and Calcutta operates on a daily basis and offers a five hour direct route. It is Qatar's 12th route to India, opening up the country like never before to foreign tourists and business travellers. Chief executive of the airline, Al Baker, revealed that the newest addition to their portfolio showed their ongoing commitment to offering services to the country. "Qatar Airways has strategically positioned itself as a global connector flying passengers seamlessly across continents, from East to West in comfort and style, with an award-winning service onboard," he added.
With 95 weekly flights now providing connections to India, Qatar Airways will offer a great alternative for British passengers wanting connections. And with the nation still a travel hotspot, as well as important for business links, the Doha to Calcutta service is likely to see high demand.
