New Hawaiian Hotel Highlights Culture
Disney reveals new cultural experience
Disney has revealed that its new Oahu based Aulani Hotel will offer visitors far more of a cultural experience than the clichÄs of the state's traditional dÄcor. Doing away with totem poles, bamboo furniture and tiki torches, Disney's latest offering has modern and chic appeal, offering those staying on the island an iconic brand with a luxurious twist.
Opened at the end of August, the new Aulani Hotel has 359 rooms and suites, and 460 time share units. A spa, conference centre, two bars and two restaurants are available for guests to use, and with a grand opening on September 22nd, the hotel is expecting high demand as holidaymakers flock to Hawaii over the colder months of the year.
Located an easy 30 minutes from Waikiki, the resort is a welcome change from many of the traditional Hawaiian hotels which continue to make use of the island's stereotypical image. Whilst thatch roofs and Disney charm remains, rooms have been upgraded to luxurious proportions with many holding no features of Mickey other than a subtle hint here and there. And with free Wi-Fi, flat screen televisions and Blu-ray players, the hotel offers home from home comfort for holidaymakers enjoying the resort's multiple amenities.
