Increases of services from easy jet to Amsterdam

Budget airline easyJet has revealed that it is to increase the number of services to Amsterdam. As part of a new relationship with the Netherlands tourist board, the airline will increase its current flight numbers, offering leisure visitors, in particular, even more choice.

As part of a three year plan to increase European relationships with tourist boards, easyJet is looking to extend the services they offer to individuals right across Britain. Currently offering flights to Amsterdam from a range of airports including London Gatwick, Edinburgh and Manchester, the airline will add routes from London Southend and Glasgow in Spring 2012. Additionally, Southend is set to be developed by the airline, with up to 70 low cost flights to a range of destinations available every week.

UK director for easyJet, Paul Simmons, said "easyJet is already a major force in tourism and commerce within the Netherlands. We have been flying to Amsterdam since 1996 and have carried a total of 23 million passengers to and from the city over that time." He added that working with the tourist board would make travel accessible and increasingly convenient for all individuals wanting to explore the beautiful capital city of the Netherlands.
