Sunniest Hotspots for the Autumn Season
Sunniest Hotspots as summer closes in
With autumnal weather seemingly already having arrived in the United Kingdom, many individuals will be looking to get away and enjoy the weather of some warmer countries. There are fantastic locations across the world that offer the ideal autumn getaway, with some of the sunniest destinations proving a particular lure at this time of year.
For individuals wanting to enjoy a holiday in America then a great place is Arizona which, according to record books, has 4,174 hours of sun every year; very close to the maximum possible 4,456 hour total. Yuma is the region's sunniest destination and it is a thriving city set in a stunning desert setting. Only 133 miles from Palm Springs it is easily accessible with a domestic connection, allowing British sunseekers an ideal autumnal retreat.
For those who don't want to travel quite as far as the USA, Egypt and Algeria are also both very sunny locations. Egypt certainly is a top spot for many tourists, with Sharm El Sheikh's lure of the beach, and Cairo's connections to the Pyramids and the Valley of the Kings being popular with visitors. Meanwhile Algeria has two cities, Aoulef and Bordj Omar Driss, in the top ten sunniest locations in the world. Even for visitors who don't want to venture particularly far into the nation, Algiers makes an ideal stop. So with the summer sun waning, demand to the world's sunniest places is set to be high this season.
