British Airways Set to Excite with New Advertising
Biggest campaign in ten years for British airways
British Airways (BA) is one of the UK's most renowned airlines and it remains very popular with both business and leisure travellers. However, with competition in the aviation industry at an all time high, airlines have to do their utmost to gain custom. And, with this in mind, BA has revealed that they are to launch their biggest marketing campaign for over a decade.
With the strap line of 'To Fly, To Serve', BA revealed that it will be spending over £5bn in the coming five years to improve customer products and services. These include new aircraft, a reinvigorated First Class cabin, new World Traveller Plus and World Traveller cabins, better lounges around the airlines network of bases, and significant improvements at their Gatwick based operations.
Speaking about the new advertising plan, Chief Executive of BA, Keith Williams, said "The motto To Fly. To Serve. is part of the DNA of British Airways. It is on our coat of arms, and it is worn in crew uniforms. And it has real meaning and resonance for today. It encapsulates our expertise for flying and our commitment to customer service. It describes our purpose." Using social media for the first time in a campaign, BA launched a 90 second advert on its Facebook page on Thursday 22nd September. And with the campaign also set to include a print campaign and television adverts, the British public can expect to see the airline showcased like never before.
