Sri Lanka to Welcome Avani Hotel Brand
New hotel brand for Sri Lanka
It has been revealed by Thai Minor Hotels Group that they are to launch the Avani brand into the Sri Lankan market. With cities such as Colombo set to be highly attractive to tourists this year due to the better value for money offered in comparison to other popular long haul destinations such as Thailand, two new hotels and resorts will be established in Kalutara and Bentota.
Collaborating with their leisure group Hemas, Thai Minor Hotels Group will launch the newly rebranded and refurbished Bentota hotel by the end of 2011. Meanwhile, the Kalutara hotel will be finished in 2012, offering guests an ideal new, chic and stylish location to stay in, whether in the nation for work or leisure.
The move into the popular country of Sri Lanka is a major step for the Minor Hotel Group as they set their sights on expanding into Africa, the Middle East, Australia and Asia. Member of the Board of Directors and Chief Operating Officer, Dillip Rajakarier, revealed "The launch of Avani serves as a two-edged sword in Minor's expansion roll out. The refreshing new brand carves a dynamically different pathway for our group, offering a unique hotel concept, as well as adding to our successful global growth."
