British Airways Guarantees First Class Travel from Australia
Guaranteed first class travel from Australia
Australia remains one of the most popular destinations in the world for British travellers, and British Airways (BA) have revealed that they will now be offering First Class options for all passengers wanting to fly home from destinations Down Under. With effect from March 2012, first class cabins will be available on all flights from Sydney, offering guests extra comfort for the long journey home.
BA announced that they would be axing their Sydney-Bangkok-London route and only offering their Sydney-Singapore-London service from next year. This change means that the company can offer Boeing 747-700s with the new First Class option on the route. Meanwhile, BA also revealed that flights aboard Boeing 777 and 747 aircraft from Hong Kong would also offer the premium class cabin to passengers.
The new First Class cabins have cost BA £100m, with the design said to be understated and luxurious. A 60 per cent wider bed at the shoulders offers maximum comfort, whilst seat switches are replaced with more user-friendly control units. And with personal wardrobes, writing desks, 15" entertainment screens and a spare seat so that another passenger can enjoy dinner with them, premium travellers will be highly attracted to this new option.
