Delta Wins Prestigious Best Overall Airline Award
Prestigious award won by Delta for best overall airline
Business Travel News has announced that Delta has been awarded the prestigious recognition of Best Overall Airline. Winning for the first time in the 14 years that the contest has run for, Delta are sure to welcome the accolade, not least because the magazine is noted as being the most read publication in the industry by corporate travel managers.
In response to the award and as a statement to the more than 80,000 individuals who work for the company, president of Delta, Ed Bastian, said "All of our 80,000 employees have a hand in an award such as this one. From the frontline flight attendants whose service sets the industry standard to the information technology specialist who ensures our computers can help travellers rebook a flight seamlessly, everyone here plays a role in how our customers perceive the way we fly".
The award highlights Delta's particular attention to ever increasing levels of comfort and luxury for business passengers in recent months and years. These include more full flat beds in Business Class, renovations to Delta Sky Clubs and the implementation of Wi-Fi in over 800 planes. And with the award being one of the most prestigious in the industry, Delta can expect more business from premium passengers as a result.
