Cape Verde Top Choice for British Holidaymakers
British holiday makers choose
It has been revealed that Cape Verde, located in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of Africa, is the ideal place for British holidaymakers wanting paradise without the long haul. Taking just six hours to get to, the archipelago of islands offer unspoiled beaches, a hot climate and a number of easily travelled to airports including Sal and Boa Vista.
Whilst the Caribbean continues to be very popular with British holidaymakers, the long journey time can often put people off. However, Cape Verde is far closer than the traditional islands of paradise and offers just as much sumptuous luxury. The ten islands which are formerly Portuguese colonies offer some of the most exquisite beaches that visitors will find.
Whilst many of the islands are simply areas of volcanic rock with little vegetation, the beaches offer miles upon miles of beautiful white sand. Meanwhile, the Cape Verde vibe is everywhere, with music playing an important role for the islands. Afro pop is very popular, and with a combination of influences from South America, Africa and Europe, there is a real cultural mixture here.
With many people looking for their ideal beach getaway, Cape Verde will satisfy the most ardent sun worshipper. Though many beaches cannot be swum in because of strong currents, the beaches themselves are incredible. So for those looking for some winter sun but not wanting to travel too far, Cape Verde is ideal.
