New Restaurant for Popular New Orleans Hotel
New restaurant opened at the Pere Marquette
It has been announced that the Pere Marquette Hotel in New Orleans has opened a new restaurant, offering simple and elegant cuisine for guests to enjoy. MiLa, run by husband and wife team Slade Rushing and Allison Vines-Rushing, brings a new spark to the menu by offering locally sourced foods with a southern flavour.
New Orleans has risen from the ashes after the devastating hurricane Katrina which tore through the city in 2005. The Mardi Gras and Jazz festivals have never been displaced from New Orleans and the city remains as popular as ever for holidaymakers. Offering something new to the scene, the MiLa restaurant specialises in farm fresh cuisine, incorporating the favourite flavours of Louisiana and Mississippi. The restaurant is teamed with Lujele, a local farm, which supplies many of the ingredients ensuring that the restaurant's menu comprises many seasonal specialities. This in turn ensures that guests and diners are offered something a little extra over and above the traditional New Orleans restaurant experience.
Both of the Rushings have been highlighted in a range of magazines, including Esquire Magazine and Bon Appetit Magazine, as up and coming chefs, adding even more appeal to the new MiLa restaurant. So for those travelling and exploring New Orleans, the restaurant is the ideal new dining experience to enjoy.
