Eastern Europe Ideal for Ski Holiday Savings
Ski Holiday Savings
With the winter only a few weeks, away many people in Britain will be looking forward to winter sports holidays. However, with the economic problems meaning that people have less money in their pockets, affording a ski holiday could be a problem. However, for those wanting better deals for their ski holidays, Eastern Europe has some ideal spots.
Comparing prices of facilities and common costs at ten of the most popular winter sports destinations in Europe, the Post Office Ski Resort Report showed that Bulgaria's Bansko was the best value for money. This resort can be reached by flying via Sofia, and according to the report offers a ski holiday at an average price of £263. Meanwhile, Slovenia's city of Ljubljana provides access to Bohinj; the third cheapest ski resort on the listings with an average holiday cost of £371.
The costs provided by the Post Office Ski Resort Report is representative only for each country and not all resorts, but shows that people can make great savings by heading to Eastern Europe instead of places such as Switzerland's Adelboden where the same holiday products would cost £655. So for financially conscious British winter sports enthusiast wanting to ski but also to save money, there are some ideal and alternative winter sports retreats available.
