Extra Flights to Dublin Announced by Aer Lingus
Aer Lingus due to increase services to Dublin from Gatwick airport
It has been revealed by Aer Lingus that they are to increase the number of Dublin services from Gatwick Airport. The extra flights mean a 56 per cent rise in passenger capacity, allowing the airline to take the lead against competitors on this popular route.
Announcing its winter schedule, Aer Lingus will offer six daily flights between London Gatwick and Dublin, adding to the four daily services which were offered by the 2010 winter schedule. The additional services will see an early, Dublin bound, 06:50 flight and a late 17:50 Dublin bound flight, with the latter service offering commuters an alternative to the current 18:50 Gatwick departure.
In total, Aer Lingus will now offer 124 flights between London and Dublin every week, allowing passengers increased choice and access to services like never before. Those travelling back and forth for commuting and business purposes will welcome the earlier morning and alternative evening service. Meanwhile, with an extra midday flight bridging the gap between a late morning and early afternoon schedule, a broader portfolio of flights will suit all and almost certainly result in more traffic for both the airline and Gatwick airport.
