Malaysia and Sri Lanka Predicted as New Holiday Hotspots
Sri Lanka and Malaysia to emerge as new holiday hotspots
An influential travel report has suggested that Malaysia and Sri Lanka are set to emerge as new hotspot destinations for holidaymakers wanting to find exciting and indulgent countries to explore. The World Travel Market 2011 Industry Report showed that the 'SLIMMA nations' being Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Malaysia, Mexico and Argentina, are tipped for huge success on the emerging tourist scene.
Whilst Colombo is known for having experienced decades of war, the Sri Lankan city is expected to see a great influx of holidaymakers as people head to beautiful and undiscovered shores. Sri Lanka is also far cheaper than many other paradise destinations, such as the Caribbean or South Africa, offering more people the chance to indulge in a little bit of luxury.
Elsewhere, the Asian destination of Malaysia is also being highlighted as a nation that is expected to see rising numbers of holidaymakers. Locations such as Kuala Lumpur and Penang offer cultural delights, with the former destination providing a gleaming metropolis to explore whilst the latter has the exciting and iconic Dragon Boat race.
Mexico, Argentina and Indonesia are also highlighted as countries that are putting money into developing their infrastructure so as to allow even more guests. In 2012, the SLIMMA nations are expected to be ideal holiday nations.
