New Flights to Hong Kong for London Gatwick
Premium service from London Gatwick to Hong Kong
It has been revealed that, in 2012, a new premium service to Hong Kong is to be implemented at London Gatwick. Hong Kong Airlines will be using a dedicated fleet of Airbus A300-200s to offer daily services from the London airport, providing passengers with a new alternative for travelling to the popular Asian destination.
With its debut flight on 8th March 2012 from Gatwick's North Terminal, the Hong Kong service will offer Club Premier and Club Classic on its flights, with all services geared directly towards business passengers. The move comes as Gatwick notes an increasing number of services to Asian destinations, with Air Asia X having already switched its Kuala Lumpur service from Stansted to Gatwick. Additionally, from 9th December Vietnam Airlines will offer routes to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.
Talking of the new service, chief commercial officer of Gatwick, Guy Stephenson, said "This is a unique service which provides a real choice to business and premium leisure traffic to one of the world's great cities, with excellent connections to other points in Asia. We are committed to matching the premium service Hong Kong Airlines will be offering their passengers on board their flights with a premium service at the airport."
