New hotels for India Accor
With India being recognised as a destination very popular with British tourists, Accor has revealed that 2012 will see 12 new hotels opened in the country. Preparing to offer a minimum of 2,500 additional guest rooms by December of next year, the French hotel group will open hotels in Mumbai and Delhi.
With ten hotels already in India, Accor currently provide more than 2,000 rooms to eager tourists wanting to immerse themselves in the nation's iconic culture. In 2012 the company will open Pullman, Formule 1 and Sofitel brands in India, offering a wide range of options for travellers on any budget.
One of Accor's most anticipated hotels is the new Mumbai Sofitel, which started development in 2006. Approximately $16m has been invested into the property and, though it was supposed to launch in 2009, delays have seen it pushed back until 2012. Meanwhile, Delhi offering Pullman Gurgaon Central Park will be the perfect property for those flying into the international airport, offering a high spec hotel which ideal for travellers. With India continuing to draw millions of visitors every year, Accor's additional 12 properties to the tourist scene will be welcomed by those wanting luxury and newly built hotel accommodation.
