Top Backpacking Destinations for 2012
Good choices of backpacking destinations for 2012
When many visit Australia they tend to visit places such as Sydney or Melbourne, or journey through the outback, but the north of the country has a great deal to offer. The city of Darwin and the surrounding area is ideal for those who want to see something of the traditional lifestyle of Australia but away from large numbers of tourists. The city is multicultural and has a great deal to offer those who prefer to stay away from tourist attractions.
Eastern Europe is just finding its feet in the tourism industry and countries such as Slovenia and the Czech Republic are also ideal for those who are interested in the traditions of a country. There is a great deal of beautiful countryside to explore and plenty of opportunities to get to know the local people. The Czech Republic for many tourists is simply the capital city of Prague, but there is plenty beyond the city limits.
India is another popular destination and the region of Kerala is becoming popular due to eco-tourism. The region has its own version of Venice and getting around on canal boats is a popular form of transport there. Backpackers will also find this a very inexpensive part of the world.
