Explore Milan's Style and Substance
Explore all of what Milan has to offer
On first glance, Milan is often thought of as a destination full of extravagant tastes, stunning fashion and beautiful architecture. Whilst this is all true, scratch below this stylish surface and travellers will find much more, with the city also providing a rich history to explore.
For those who love shopping and indulging in decadent surroundings, Milan is certainly a location to head to. Famous designers including Pucci, Dolce & Gabbana, Prada and Gucci all found notoriety on Milan catwalks and, for those who want to shop until they drop, the Golden Quad filled with boutiques and high-end stores is the ultimate shoppers dream.
There are historical treasures in Milan too, with many cultural gems surviving the World Word II bombs. The La Scala opera house and Castello Sforzesco are two sites that shouldn't be missed by those exploring the city, whilst Milan's stunning cathedral is quite a spectacle. For art enthusiasts, Leonard da Vinci's The Last Supper is also to be found in Milan.
Hottest during the month of August, Italy's Milan is a great destination for holidaymakers throughout the year. Flights with easyJet, Alitalia and Monarch can provide the perfect means of travel to the city, allowing visitors to explore far more than the luxury city's surface.
