Pound Strengthens in Popular South Africa
he British pound Doing well against the south African rand
South Africa has become increasingly popular over the past few years for British travellers. The African country offers a stunning coastline, iconic landmarks such as Table Mountain, and the ability to indulge in wild safaris. Whilst the economy may have had negative effects in some places, it has made trips to this thriving location far more affordable.
With the pound doing extraordinarily well against the South African rand, trips to destinations such as Cape Town and Durban have been far cheaper to travel to. Cape Town has a large number of attractions available for travellers to indulge in, and as long as the weather is good, trips up the cable car to Table Mountain offer stunning views across the city. Meanwhile, wine enthusiasts can indulge in the beautiful vineyards in the city's vicinity, whilst the adventurous might even like to go cage diving with great white sharks.
Many travellers to South Africa want to experience the African safari, and Kruger Park offers the ideal location for such visitors. Here, many iconic creatures live, and visitors will be able to see elephants, lion, buffalo and rhino.
For those wanting to book flights to South Africa for 2012, the economic climate has made holidays more affordable than ever. For many, an African adventure might be achievable for far less than first thought.
