Cape Verde Rising in Popularity
Cape Verde becoming more popular for holidays
Many people across Britain will now be looking ahead to their summer break and trying to work out where to holiday. Whilst settings such as the Canary Islands and Spain remain very attractive for travellers wanting to indulge in traditional hotspots, Cape Verde is proving to be a rising star, coming in seventh place for the most internet search locations.
Located on the beautiful coastline of Senegal, the Cape Verde islands offer undiscovered nightlife, a vibrant culture and stunning coastlines. The area's major towns are an attractive lure for many, with destinations such as Praia and Santiago offering bustling metropolises that offer cuisines from the region's homegrown beans, sweet potatoes and sugar cane. Visitors can also find a good nightlife here, with restaurants and live music available until the early hours.
Cape Verde provides the wonderful Pedra Lume Salt Crater to explore, whilst destinations such as Sal and Boa Vista are known for their gorgeous stretches of unspoiled beaches. Whilst the landscape is steep and volcanic in many places, the exotic climate is a huge attraction for holidaymakers not wanting to fly to regions such as the Caribbean. With a rising demand for this area, 2012 is set to see tourism in Cape Verde boom.
