Croatia continues to offer holiday appeal
Croatia is luring new tourists with its beautiful coastlines
Over the past decade, holidaying in Eastern Europe has become all the more attractive. Whilst traditional hotspots such as France, Spain and Portugal remain high on the list of destinations for many British individuals, Croatia is luring many new tourists with the promise of beautiful coastlines, cultural city breaks and the ideal place to enjoy sailing.
In 2012, Croatia is set to see even larger rises in tourism than ever before. Dubrovnik is increasingly being listed as one of the top city breaks in Europe, with annual summer festivals and its own beautiful beaches offering holidaymakers the best of both worlds. Islands such as St Nicholas and Galesnjak are also finding wide appeal from couples wanting to have a romantic escape, whilst Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, has the upper and lower towns which are filled with museums, al fresco dining and wonderful night life to explore.
With numerous city and beach activities, Croatia is also the ideal place for sailing in the Adriatic Sea, and there is nothing quite like taking in the country's coastline by water. For all those wanting the perfect warm Eastern European retreat, Croatia is the perfect 2012 destination.
