The two main full service international airports on the Islands are Providenciales and Grand Turk.

Cockburn Town is the capital of the Turks and Caicos Islands and is based on the Grand Turk. There are many landmarks on the major streets of Duke and Front as well as restaurants and the National Museum of Turks & Caicos Islands and if this is not enough, there is always diving, snorkelling or sailing across the turquoise water to be enjoyed. Cockburn Harbour is situated on the South Caicos Island and is well known as being one of the best harbours in the Turks and Caicos Islands. It is frequently used by fisherman as well as commercial vessels and cruising boaters, and is protected from all directions.

Currently tourism is the main industry on the Turks and Caicos Islands, followed by financial services. The most important industry however is fishing, with the islands main exports being lobster and conch.
