Every year, artists from all over the world arrive at the destination of Constantine in Algeria to take part in an eight-day festival of music. It is an event that will be in its ninth year of running and is becoming an ever more popular music festival.

Artists travel to the festival not only from across the whole of Africa but also Asia, Europe, USA and South America. There will be many different forms of music played at the festival including jazz-rock, Celtic, Chicago blues-folk, African, flamenco and many other genres. The location of the festival will change each year but the basic principles of quality, education and novelty will always remain the same.

The Dimajazz Festival is one that can be enjoyed by everyone and it is very family friendly. It is also used as a way to showcase new musical talents from the local communities. Many of the performers who were students of Dimajazz are permitted to perform alongside the other artists.

Constantine is a destination that is located in the north east region of the country. There are no direct flights to Constantine and there will be at least one stop but more than likely two. The nearest airport to the city centre is Mohamed Boudiaf International Airport and is around five miles away. There are a number of hotels in Constantine that can provide accommodation as well as a few close to the serving airport.
