Alitalia, Italy’s largest airline, has won the award for having the ‘Best Airline Cuisine’. As a way to offer customers a more authentic Italian experience, the company introduced new menus. These menus offer flyers a choice of regional specialities and have been a successful addition to new improvements with Alitalia travellers from around the world.

The award for ‘Best Airline Cuisine’ was given to Alitalia through the GT Tested Reader Survey Awards programme from Global Travellers. This programme monitored the experiences of more than 25,000 luxury travellers and businesses to reach the decision for this award. With its new menu, Italy’s largest airline, Alitalia, easily won the Global Traveller survey.

Italian cuisine is arguably the best in the world and combines a range of tastes and flavour alongside a diet which has many healthy elements. So not only can travellers claim to be on holiday before they even arrive but they can also have a second portion whilst claiming that it is doing them good!

Alitalia is Italy’s largest airline that flies to 82 worldwide destinations. It is the 19th largest airline in the world, serving both national and international destinations. It operates a fleet of approximately 150 aircraft from its hub at Fiumicino, Rome, Turin, Naples, Milan, Catania, and Venice. The company shares its network with Air France, KLM, and Delta Air Lines.
